Jerome Perkins

I grew up on the east coast, going to high school in New Jersey.  My passion for running brought me out to Colorado to run cross country and track at the University of Colorado.  While at Boulder I was able to continue pursuing my enjoyment with math by getting my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Applied Math.  It is through that program that I found a fascination with finance and the math behind investments. After school I was lucky enough to fall upon a job opportunity with Schaefer Financial Management in 2013 which allowed me to experience all facets of finance in the real world and gave me an appreciation for the investment management business.  I gained my CFP certification in 2016 and then my CFA in 2023 and work as a Financial Planner and Director of Investment Research with the company.  What I enjoy most is the ability to build appropriate/efficient investment portfolios and trying to help fellow millennials understand the nuances of asset management to set them up for a successful future.
